Judge Lets Public View R. Kelly Sex Tape

If you're one of the few people on earth who never saw R. Kelly's reputed sex tape, you may now get your chance, thanks to an Illinois judge.

Cook County Criminal Court upheld a ruling that the public be allowed to view the videotape at the center of Kelly's upcoming child pornography trial, despite the fact that the prosecution argued against the move.

Assistant State Atty. urged Judge to prevent the public from seeing the tape because it could potentially be harmful to the girl who is in the video. Boliker argued that allowing the public to view the tape would be a "re-victimization of the [girl in the tape]," The Chicago Tribune reports. However, because the girl has denied that it is, in fact, her in the video, Judge ruled that there is no victim to protect, especially since the prosecution has stated that they have no plans to call the girl as a witness.

"If the alleged victim testifies, I'll change the ruling," judge declared when he delivered the ruling on Tuesday (Aug. 21).
