Foxy Brown landed herself in jail again after a Manhattan judge determined that the headline-grabbing rapper had violated the terms of her probation.
Criminal Court Judge ruled this morning that Brown be jailed and remain behind bars until a Sept. 5 hearing. Probation officials sought to have Brown jailed following her arrest last week for allegedly hurling her BlackBerry at her neighbor following an argument.
A spokesman for the city's Department of Probation, told The Associated Press that Brown had also been skipping her court-ordered anger management classes and failed to obtain permission to travel outside the city.
Brown, has been on a three-year probation since being sentenced 10 months ago on assault charges for attacking two employees at a New York City nail salon in 2004. However, she has had repeated run-ins with authorities, including an incident in February in which she was arrested for attacking a beauty shop owner in Florida.
Just last week, she was arrested for allegedly assaulting her 25-year-old neighbor, Arlene Raymond, with a BlackBerry, after the two got into an argument over the volume of music Foxy was playing. After being freed on $5,000 bail, Brown was pulled over in Mahwah, N.J., a day later, resulting in seven tickets.
